Options for the Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery) Procedure at Bucio Surgicenter in Tijuana

Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is designed to remove excess fat, skin, and/or muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. Blepharoplasty can restore skin’s appearance, correct bags under the eyes, and, in some cases, improve vision impaired by sagging eyelids.

The blepharoplasty procedure at Bucio Surgicenter in Tijuana can remove the visible signs of aging, providing patients with a more alert, rested, and youthful look. Blepharoplasty can be performed alone or in conjunction with other facial procedures, such as a facelift or lipoinjection

The Procedure

Blepharoplasty usually takes between one and three hours to complete, depending on the extent of the surgery. You will be under a local anesthesia that numbs the area around your eyes, so you will be awake, but relaxed and unable to feel the pain.

Dr. Bucio begins the surgery with an incision made in the natural creases of your eyelids. The excess fat, skin, and muscle will be trimmed away through a liposuction-like procedure and the incisions will be closed.

After the surgery, your eyelids will feel tight and sore as the anesthesia wears off, but the discomfort can be controlled through your prescribed medication. After a few days, you should be able to read and watch television properly, and after a week to 10 days, you will be able to return to work and daily activities.
